Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote and insert 2 AAA batteries with correct polarity.
  2. Power On: Ensure your TCL TV is plugged in and turned on at the power outlet.
  3. Pairing: For smart remotes, automatic pairing should occur within 30 seconds. If not, press and hold the Home and Back buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.
  4. Test Functions: Test basic functions like power, volume, and channel buttons to ensure proper operation.
  5. Voice Control Setup: For voice-enabled remotes, follow on-screen instructions to set up voice recognition.
  6. Customize Buttons: Some models allow button customization through TV settings menu.
  7. Final Check: Verify all features work correctly including navigation, app shortcuts, and special functions.
